You'd want to have company when you cook this because if you don't then you're going to want to eat it all!
You'll need very few ingredients for this dish though you may have to take a quick trip down the store for one or two.

Of course the very important component is the shrimp. Feel free to substitute whatever variety of shrimp is available in your area just make sure that they are fresh. Though if frozen, remember to thaw them first!
Then a lot of garlic, oyster sauce, butter and oil (not in photo) and 7 Up. Yes, you absolutely read that right! We're using 7 Up in this recipe!
Here's a magic concoction; take some butter, melt it then add a little oil and then proceed to sauté the chopped garlic. You're welcome. Okay you may not get what I'm trying to convey here but the smell of it! So. Freaking. Good.
Then let the shrimps in on that party!
Stir quite quickly and pour in the 7 Up.
Stir again then add the oyster sauce.
Once you've stirred the oyster sauce into the party, cover your wok or whatever skillet or whatnot and let the shrimp simmer for a good few minutes. We just want to make sure that the flavors get along and bless us with a wonderful sauce.
After it has simmered, it's ready to serve!
We usually enjoy this dish with steamed white rice and then we make an amazing dip by adding finely chopped garlic and black ground pepper into some vinegar. Try this combo and tell me what you think!
